Constitution
Bi-State Amateur Radio Society, BARS, a not-for-profit Amateur Radio club, desiring the benefits of associating with fellow Amateur Radio operators interested in all assigned radio frequencies, with an added emphasis in UHF, DATV, microwaves, non-coherent light frequencies, all communication modes, contesting, propagation and homebrewing; hereby, establish and adopt this Constitution.
ARTICLE 1
NAME
The name of this not-for-profit club will be Bi-State Amateur Radio Society (BARS).
ARTICLE II
MEMBERSHIP
All persons interested in Amateur Radio solely with a personal aim and without pecuniary interest shall be eligible for membership. There will be no annual dues or fees for membership. There will be no geographic membership boundaries.
ARTICLE III
Government
BARS is an informal group and democratic in form. One member, one vote pertaining to any club decisions. There will be no club officers; however, members should designate a contact person(s) to conduct any club correspondence/business.
ARTICLE IV
MEETINGS
Meeting times and dates as well as contest activity will be determined. When possible, a meeting schedule will be published.
ARTICLE V
AMENDMENTS
Amendment proposals to the Constitution shall be submitted in writing and read at a regular meeting, published and then voted upon by a quorum of BARS members.
